Courtney Ruffner is an associate professor of English at State College of Florida in Bradenton, Florida. She has published work as contributing editor for the Edgar Allan Poe book in Harold Bloom’s BioCritiques series, has published an article for the MLA in Teaching Italian American Literature, Film, and Popular Culture, has published an article on John Donne that has been translated into Portuguese and published in the Brazilian journal RevistoEspaçoAcadémico and her article on Edgar Allan Poe, “A Debt Owed, A Debt Paid: Poe’s Literary Cultural Heritage” is under contract with EBSCO Publishing’s Critical Insights series. In addition to publishing, Courtney is a founding editor of the literary journal Florida English. In her spare time, she can be found researching Ezra Pound, reading articles on organized crime in Italy or perusing historical details on the Borgia family. She lives in Bradenton, Florida with her husband, Jeff, who is a poet, a scholar, the co-author of both Poe articles, and also an assistant professor of English at State College of Florida. Jeff Grieneisen is an assistant professor of English at State College of Florida in Bradenton, Florida. He has published work as contributing editor for the Edgar Allan Poe book in Harold Bloom’s BioCritiques series, and his poetry has appeared in Pennsylvania English, Sylvan Review, and Red Raven Review, and has been translated into Portuguese and published in the Brazilian journal RevistoEspaçoAcadémico. In addition to writing poetry, Jeff is a founding editor of the literary journal Florida English. He continues to research the work of Ezra Pound and delivered a paper at the 22nd Ezra Pound International Conference in Venice, Italy. This year, MAMMOTH Books published his first book of poetry, Good Sumacs, and his article on Edgar Allan Poe, “A Debt Owed, A Debt Paid: Poe’s Literary Cultural Heritage” is under contract with EBSCO Publishing’s Critical Insights series. He lives in Bradenton, Florida with his wife, Courtney, who is a scholar, a critic, the co-author of both Poe articles, and an assistant professor of English at State College of Florida.
