Annual Meeting
October 16-17, 2003

The 2003 Florida College English Association Conference
will span from 16-17 October 2003 and take place at the Holiday Inn Harbourside Resort, Indian Rocks Beach, Florida. The 2003 conference will emphasize technology--hence the title:

Beyond the Printing Press:
Technology, Pedagogy, and Research in the Cyber Age

This conference shall be inclusive in ethos, and we welcome proposals relating to all aspects of rhetoric, composition, pedagogy, literature, and theory.

We shall certainly welcome proposals which engage with the conference theme to address the ways we can transform our research and teaching via technology.

Sessions which do not require high speed internet access and/or other technology will be held at the lovely and relaxing Holiday Inn Harbourside Resort on 16 October 2003.
Information regarding the convention site, the Holiday Inn Harbourside Resort, can be found at:
http://www.hiharborside.com

Sessions which require high speed internet access and/or other technology will be held at St. Petersburg College's  Seminole Campus on 17 October 2003.  This dynamic campus has state-of the art technology as well as a cyber-auditorium (and is located near the Holiday Inn Harbourside Resort). Information regarding St. Petersburg College's Seminole Campus is available at: http://www.spcollege.edu/se/

Proposals of 100 words must be postmarked by 1 September 2003 (you are also more than welcome to send your proposals via email). All  presenters should be paid members of FCEA by 16 October 2003.

Proposals for papers must include: phone numbers, email addresses, and postal addresses of organizers and all participants; a description of content;  a description of equipment required (internet access will be provided but must be requested in advance); and an indication of  presentation time required (the standard is 15 minutes for individual papers).

Those interested in presenting may serve as chairs or respondents for sessions.  Those interested in chairing sessions are encouraged to put panels together in advance.
